K03's + Chip + IC's = 278HP 335TQ on 93 octane
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/99730/hp--tq.jpg"></center><p>Apparently you don't need to spend a fortune to get
some pretty decent performance. Stock Ko3's + MTM
chip + cooler Bosch plugs + K/N + 5bar regulator +
larger IC's. Bone stock exhaust. That adds up to $1,800. in mods (parts only) and puts down a respectable 85hp more over stock. And...its a TIP Avant.
It's pretty obvious the KO3's are out of breath
by 5,000, but bang for the buck, I'm very pleased.
Now when one of those Ko3's blows, its L10 Transmission and Ko4 time!

I think your dead wrong about ditching the MTM.
I know many out there think there are better solutions, and there probably are for a stage 4+ car. Their new fuel map (just released recently) for a relatively "mild" set up like mine works excellent as is shown by the Dyno runs. Could one spend another $1,500-$2,000. on exhaust to gain 20hp...sure...but what's the point? Save your nickels and by the bigger turbos and do the exhaust
then. For me it also means L10 torque convertor upgrade at $2,000. So your now your looking at
probably what $8,000. to gain another 85hp at the wheels? Maybe its time then to sell the S4 and put that $8,000. on a used RS6?

Re: maybe because a stg3 s4 will rape an rs6?
Uh,rape, uh, I don't think so. While I truly love my S4, and the 2.7 TT is a sweet motor, a bone stock RS6 puts down 500hp at the crank, and its not hard to get alot more. There is no replacement for DISPLACEMENT. Sure the '6 is a hefty car, but set up right that V8 TT is serious power. I've ridden in one set up right on several tracks...its quite a car, and an excellent cruiser too. The 6 is no match for a fully blown S4 like the silver 2Bennett
racer, but your not going to drive that on the street either (although...it would be really tempting!) Of course passing safety and emissions would be a be of a trick.

INCLUDED the labor to yank it, ship it, and reinstall it.
