K04 upgrade questions - my K03s may be dying...
So some of you seem to think my rebuilt turbos are junk....well if they are I certainly do not want to put another set in. If I go K04, I dont want to do major stuff, I just want stock fueling, stock programing, stock exhaust. AWE and APR kits both have injectors and require programing upgrades. I do have an APR chip, but I dont have it in my car. Also both kits say "6 Speed" and I have a Tiptronic. Is it possible to get just the turbos, hoses, MAF, and leave it at that? For now I want to go bare minimum with maximum reliability. In the future when I really have money I can change that. Would anyone have a cost for this minimum upgrade?

Yes you an just get the turbos and be fine.
Depending on the shop, the labor could be anywhere between $1000 - $1500.
The turbos, probably ~$2400 w/inlets, I think...somewhere around there.

Whoa wait, where have you seen K04's for $1950? The cheapest I've found...
Is $2150 off some guy on VWVortex for NIB K04's. If I can find that stuff for those prices, I'm all over it.

Did you read the topic? Minimum....I dont want motor mounts...I def dont need tranny mount...
piggie pipes, timing belt, tranny upgrades...Half of that I dont want or need at the moment.
