i have k04s, fueling, ERs, and 2.8 heads ready to go in my car after doing research on here about the heads... i also have an ASP turboback with test pipes and an X-1 intake.. i would port match the s4 intake manifold, however after speaking to some tuners the 2.8 heads might not be worth it on small k04s? id rather not lose the torque and i dont plan on building the heads to rev it high so what do u guys think, 2.8 heads better off on bigger turbos and not worth it on k04s? should i just ditch touching the heads altogether or should i save the heads and try running the intake cams without any headwork? thanks

I'd skip the cams too unless you have EPL or ASP local to dial them in with custom code.

did you change out the exhaust valves to 2.7s? I don't recall seeing anyone have success with 2.8 cams, most guys put 2.7 cams (s4 or rs4) in the 2.8 heads. If you had BIG snails on there then maybe the 2.8 cams would be worth a shot. I would probably skip the heads unless you where going to do the whole kit and kaboodle, meaning the entire intake from airbox to block. S4 heads are pretty damn good and have proven a fine match for K04/RS4's

I will know if they are faster, on-par, or slower. From everything I see being posted I'm a little concerned, but I said I would not pass judgement until it's done, so we'll see.

did you swap out the none-Na filled exhaust valves in the 2.8 heads? Did you stay with 2.8 cams?

To 034 Phelonic RS4 Intake Spacers. Heads were stock and new from factory. No cams, or valves were swapped out, 100% stock. Although I have seen some posts that suggest the exhaust valves in all audi heads are na filled, myth or ledgend. The biggest concern I have are the intake cams being the correct match for my set-up. We will have to wait for it to be tuned to realized any increase or decrease in performance, as the only change were the heads. Time will tell.
