We all know that I don't street race, but...
It is snowing here. I of course take a drive to check out the scenery. I turn down this local back road. This particular road is not very straight at all.
So a car turns in to the road ahead of me. I normally would have passed him on the short straight section at the beginning of the road but he is going a bit quicker than most. So I settle back and just follow him. He is going at a decent pace and I can see that he thinks he is racing because he is checking his mirror every few seconds. I'm actually a little concerned that he might do something stupid in front of me. He makes it through all of the curved bits and then beetles down the straight stretch with me not too far off his bumper.
Then when we are approaching the stop sign the little bugger puts on his flashers! By this point I've had enough of this. He rolls through the stop sign way too fast. I stop (of course) and then just blow around him on the outside or a sweeping corner accelerating past him as if he was standing still. It was quite funny actually. I instantly put tons of distance between us and he sulked off someplace never to be seen again.
End of kill story. :-)

If I hadn't been told I wouldn't have had a clue what it was about.
Too bad really as in Europe it is normal to use one flash (so that both indicator lights light up once) as a thank you (usually for letting you by). Now I daren't use that signal here for fear of it being misinterpreted. :-/
Yes, I agree, juvenal.

If the guy thinks he is god's gift to the driving world yet doesn't have the money to play with the big boys, then snow is the perfect condition for him. It is a real equaliser. These are the conditions where someone really could beat a hot car with a ****-box (making the victory all the more sweet).
Unfortunately, on this occasion he picked on the wrong hot car. :-p

up at a light next to a modded c5 z06 corvette that wasn't paying attention when the light turned green. I accelerated and then threw flashers on at about 40mph and shut it down (not like it exactly ripped its way to 40
). Vette comes flying past me like he had something to show me. He launched at the next few lights and even followed us for a while. I was in a pontiac rental car...hellooooo.
