Kinda confused. Needs some assistance. I am an abox...and planning to eventually go homebrew
Now what confuses me is all the hitache stuff.
Is everyone that is stage 3 on an abox go with the hitache conversion?
I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. If I buy this giac X abox I can have it updated to the mbox code as long as I have the flash key.
I think that is the best route for me to go though...Buy the giac x abox, and then get it updated to mbox when I finally piece all the parts together for the full homebrew..Does that sound right?
any advice would be killer =)

There are quick A box homebrew cars out there, just don't use an oiled open element intake IMO....
can/will kill the Bosch sensor.
There are some that would prefer to "upgrade" to M box for the piece of mind of a more reliable MAF sensor and arguably better software.
VAST could switch you over to M box software as well as supply the wiring, sensor, etc if you're interested.

Yes, I just spoke with mike. The reason I'm asking is because ...
I might be picking up an intake setup with maf housing that is set up to run with an mbox...
So I would need to get the hitache sensor and wiring and whatnot to make it work,so I was just wanted to make sure that it is the best route.
Also I'm in the process of switching my stock box for a giac abox. So I want to make sure that when I decided to piece everything together , that I can get it converted and not run into any problems.

LOL nice name =). Well he says he would need a Flash Key, so I guess I'm not
going to be swapping ecus with this guy unless he can get me a flashkey and his invoice and whatnot.
Right..?

I'm running an A-box to M-box conversion and all is well...
Just do what piggie tells you'll be fine If i recall i had originally did it for the reliability of the hitachi sensor and for a stronger file. You missed a good time at Jasons last night. I almost ripped my bumper off on his lift!

Good question, I *think* so....
If i can remember i was an AMS stg 5 then went to the X sauce, XR, then back to X. I think i changed to M-box when i went XR but not positive. Why do you ask? Don't think it really matters one way or the other.
