Mine screamed whenever I got into the boost...
No matter what the oil temp was.
This was not the "normal" turbo wine, but more of a very loud metallic drill. My dealer replaced my turbos right away, saying "they're gonna go anytime."

May not be the turbos
My wife's '00S4 was whining loudly on boost. The dealer recently fixed it, saying the "wastegate rod was contacting a heat shield"? Whatever it was, the turbos are now as quiet as the ones on my '02Avant.

Similar problem here... almost a loud chiping at low RPMs or when decellerating regardless of temp
It's been this way from day one. I'm getting more concerned as I reach the end of warranty.
