Default KO4's or KO3/16's?

I have a 01 tip (yeah, I know, a tip), but can't decide between going KO4 or KO3/16? Suggestions? It's for a daily driver. Is the extrs $$$ for the KO4 and pipes going to be worth it or not?

Default If you're on a budget...

Not worth it IMO. I'd rather save and bundle all of my expenses that serve the "reliability" factor first. I don't want to be stuck on the side of the road with a dropped transmission. Just my 2 cents.

Default From what i've read they should make about the same power....

You could save money and just go with the hybrids. Although some people here will argue that the k04's are more reliable.

FYI I have an 02 tiptronic with k04's with mbc, tcd, 5 bar fpr, ect.. I've put on about 20,000 miles and its running good.

Remember that if you are going to go custom, making power you will need other little things as well.

Trany upgrade
Engine/Trany Mounts
IC upgrades
Bi-pipe
Vag Com
ECUx

and most of all some patience and tweaking (understanding of it also).

Just my 2 cent.

Default Upgrades

DP's, IC's, bi-pipe, etc. already done. Turbo's last step, and going to leave it at that

There is no hard proof that the TIP can't handle the power.
