Default KOPork! Are you utilizing your passenger side IC area?

Any thought to homebrew a nice intake? Just a guess to gain even lower IATs. Though 2 underlying facts remain...

1. You still have the NACA duct which has been proven to gain ~10g/s. (Not sure if you posted your intake temps)

2. Risk of water being sucked into the intake and eventually into the throttle body. There are ways to get around it though.

Insomnia again (curse of Starbucks) and just pondering the possibilities.

Default There isn't anything in the passanger side IC area. I have some homebrew

intake thing I am working on. Just put it off recently and might post that at sometime maybe. I have the NACA duct and when piggy and I did some testing we did see a difference of ~10gs of air also. As far as rain. I use painters tape to plug the hole or if I am not driving the car I throw a towel or something in. I haven't figured out what kind of plug I want to create instead of using the stupid tape. :-)

Default Just a thought of how you could close off your NACA duct.........

You could use the expanding foam you can buy from the hardware store. Coat the hood down in that duct with some kind of lubricant that won't mess the hood up or the foam. Then tape a peice of thin cardboard on top of the duct to help form the hole. Then spray it in there making sure it covers the whole inside, don't use to much cause it will spread like crazy. then once its expanded fully, you should be able to pop it out the back side of the duct under the hood. You would probably have to do some knife edging to the foam to get a good clean fit. Find something to seal the foam up where you cut. Then you could probably cover it in some cloth or equivalant to protect the hood from getting scratched.

Default most of these foams are nasty ..stick to everything and they are very hard to get off

He could use a very thin cloth, like sheet material from a bed. And line it with that
