measured the height from the fender to the ground, it was 24 inches all around. Im planning to raise it ti 25 inches to see if that will take care of the bounciness of the ride.

either characterize it as (1) the spring is to stiff for the shock or (2) the shock is too weak for the spring. Either way the problem is that the shock does not have sufficient rebound dampening for the spring rate. The shock needs to perform (essentially) two functions: dampen the motion of the car as the spring compresses under a load and then dampen the motion of the car as the spring returns the energy stored during compression. If the car is "bouncy" or "floaty" or "drives like a g-damn pogo stick", the shock is not doing the latter function.
