Default Lambda (wideband) vs. narrowband O2 voltages (BWW)...

Four runs with logged O2V (through ECUx) plotted along with actual lambda (logged with an LM1 datalogger). Gather from them what you will.

Default interesting....so our VAGCOM/ECUx readings are on the safe side.

that is if we assume the Wideband has the more accurate reading.

Default Hmmm, tilting head. I don't like those one bit.

The data points seem to converge and diverge instead of correlate!

Default I thought Lambda and O2 V are not the same thing

But there is a relationship between the two. Refer to chart A in the link.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1104635.phtml">clicky</a></li></ul>

Default Oh wait, the two sensors work on different and opposing scales, whew.

Now it makes sense

Default Yep. Looks like the values correspond but...

Large Lambda changes show very little change in 02 sensor voltage on DAP's charts. Narrow band appears to be only useful for "eyeballing" when looking at A/F during WOT (11-12:1). IMO of course.

Default Yep, I've been saying that for a long time on here ;)

Yea, eventually I'm going to put in a wideband.

Default

ACtually everyone has said this. One must use a wideband to tune under WOT conditions

Default Yeah, I know it's common knowledge but...

people may have differing views on how useful narrowband is. Folks here definitely DO use it as a reference. It's always nice to see data that illustrates the point...and this does.

Default Couple of questions/comments....

I assume the X axis is some sort of time. Is each plot a single pass through through the RPMS?

I know you have K04s, what software/injectors/MAF are you running? Even without STFA, I would guess GIAC.

It would be interesting if you could lean out the right part of the plot and see if there is any impact on knock activity. I guess it isn't possible if you only have Lemmi at your disposal.
