Default Large cloud of smoke downshifting to 3rd @ ~50mph
I can't reproduce this consistently but on occasion I've gotten a large cloud of smoke. It's brief but quite large. I've only noticed it a couple of times. I've been told the smoke is bluish (oil) by a buddy that was behind me once when it happened.

If anyone has any similar experience or or ideas as to what's up with this I'd appreciate comments.

Default you running cats or straight pipes? Black smoke out the back is pretty normal (occasionally) in the
s4, afaik. Mine's always done it when it's been a while since i got on it. Carbon buildup?

Yes, running cats. Smoke looked white but that's through headlights of the car behind at night.

Default We need to pull the lower IC hoses to look while doing the cntrl arms.
Let me know when scheduled. Weekdays/nights work better than weekends.

I'll check the tailpipe when I go back out but I haven't noticed any recently
