Default Last fuel pump question : When people say the Walbro is noisy, how noisy are we really talking about

Is it annoying noisy or just like road noise noisy? Has it been too noisy for anyone to switch to the RS4 one or Bosch one?
Thanks.

no.. the pressure regulator forces it to run higher pressure as boost builds..

Default why do you think there's a vacuum hose connected to the regulator?:)

The amount of fuel injected each time the injector opens can vary depending on the difference in pressure between the inlet and outlet of the injector. The pressure regulator makes sure the same difference is maintained as boost pressure builds at the outlet of the injector.. which is the intake manifold. That means your fuel pressure is 20psi higher if your boost is 20psi, assuming it's not a rising rate pressure regulator.

Default That controls the pressure to the fuel rail, not the pump. the pump runs at a fixed...

rate the entire time in a recirc loop. The FPR controls the amount of fuel from the loop into the fuel rail.
