Default LATCH system for car seat.. according to this website, we can get a free install from Audi

It says Audi will install the LATCH anchors free of charge for the A4(S4 is not listed). Anyone have any experience with this. STFA only indicated that I could do it my self

Default archive should also show that dealers would retrofit for free for a few years, but now

i don't think they do anymore. might be a dealer by dealer thing. i got mine done free in 2003, have heard others had to pay.

Default I guess I really don't care too much about getting it done for free... should I just order the..

kit from the dealer or is there a better route to take?

Default I know it was a free retrofit for all 02's. I just had one installed myself

As that was the year that the US mandated compliance with the latch system, AoA offered it as a free-if-solicited install. I just had the bar installed after my mechanic (AW: Tischer_Tech) mentioned it as my extended warranty was about to expire.

Default As others have said, install is no longer free. Get in touch with Carson

at Riverside Audi, he might has some of the original less expensive kits in stock. There is a post in the archives outlining the install, the biggest thing is you need to pull the seat bottom and seat back in order to get the bolts in.
