Default Late summer detail pics and review of Adam's polishes

Detailed the car today, for the second time in a week. With all the talk surrounding Adam's polishes the last month or so I gave them a shot. I detailed the car last week using the methods Adam himself outlines in the instructional DVD. I found the products extremly easy to apply and remove. In the instructions Adam's say to combine the swirl remover with the polish and go to town, I thought it may be too good to be true and I was right, on my car at least. I noticed the paint looked very clean after the polish and wax but my swirl marks persisted. I just don't think the swirl remover was strong enough for my situation. So today I did it right and first used 3M rubbing compound, then Meguires swirl remover both w/ the cutting pad on the PC. Then I put on the Adam'a polish and follwed w/ Adam's butter wax, both with the polishing pad. Finally I put on a second coat of wax by hand, removed everything w/ MF towels. I am very impressed w/ the results. This should not be read in any way as a negative review of Adam's products I just think my car had too many/too deep swirl marks for the Adam's technique. Other than that I am very impressed w/ Adam's, they delivered all of their products quickly, their packaging was great, and their customer service dept. is excellent, and all of their stuff smells amazing as well. I will be ordering their products for long time to come.

Thats not a detail! Although it looks great. A real detail is Black Fire clay bar with Black fire Clay lube, 3M Finesse-It II Machine Polish
applied with a white cutting pad using a Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Polisher, Klasse AIO then Klasse High Gloss.

Default Glad it worked out, I try and avoid rubbing compound at all costs, I think the

Menzerna IP is excellent at removing swirl marks with the PC.

I clayed last week, I thought it would be a little excessive to clay twice in 8 days.

When Santorin is really nicely polished and waxed the pearlescent really comes out!

Default Santorin = King of swirl. If you use a very light liquid carnuba wax

you can hide them most of the time. Think I polished mine 3-4 times with so-so results... hard color to keep.
