and in MA...
I can't seem to get this whole Explorer in the pic! 
Notice the light bar on the outside top rear of the roof. It's all black (like a ski rack), until the blue strobes light up)

That is truly SICK!
In houston, i use to complain about the slick top caprice's (the one's without the big micky mouse ears) at least they are mark, alot still Baby blue, but unmarked impala's and camaro. WTF.

What a waste of money!
Take all the BS money spent on catching speeders that are going 10 miles over the speed limit and give raises to the cops so they track down some criminals.

My sense is that the maroon impala and the gold camaro hit the beat about 6:30 or 7am and are gone by (at least) the end of the evening commute. There's a white SUV (with lightbar) that emerges in the Waterbury around that time, too, maybe even a little earlier.
I have no idea about the gold impala.
I never see unmarked cars when I drive up to Boston at night - 9pm & later.
