Car was making incredible "nuts in a soup can" noises. Customer complained of coolant loss and overheating. '01 S4 with 58K miles.
Further inspection revealed abnormal timing belt wear and irregular water pump pulley orientation.

The timing belt covers exhibited signs of prolonged contact.

The waterpump pulley machining its' likeness into the serpentine idler/fan clutch assy.

Remove the harmonic balancer and tell tale silver barrels help tell the story . . .

But he wasn't hot enough and played meteor in the harmonic backing plate . . .
