Lease will be up soon....
My lease will be up in October and I need a little advise. By October the car will have no more than 25,000 miles on it. I would love buy it, but the thought of owning a twin turbo car that is out of warranty scares me a little. I haven't had a single problem with it since I owned it. If a new model S4 were out there, I'd certainly lease one again, but why lease a new one when it's the exact same car. If I do decide to buy it from the dealer what would be a good price, I really have no idea. There aren't many new cars out there that really jump out at me to buy at this time. Maybe the new M3, Boxter, but nothing else. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Yes it was leased from Audi......
Yes, it was purchased in October of 1999. The lease was 36 months from Audi. The warranty for the 2000 model year was 3 years/50,000. Which I assume is only good for one or the other, so it will expire in October. If I purchase it back from Audi will they consider it certified and extend the warranty? Finally, what would be a good purchase price? Thanks again.
PS If you were going to buy the same type of car again, what would you buy?

Isn't that price calculated at the beginning of the lease? I thought that's how they figure a monthly lease price.
purchase_price - end_value = lease_value
If blue book is greater than the end_value, BUY IT. You can always just turn around and resell it.
Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I dont know...
but its worth asking. It seems to me that audi certification is based on veh. history and if you have all the service requirements Ill bet that you could work something out if you really want to. good luck
