LED light upgrade for 2001 S4 with HID too!
A truck dropped a load of rocks on the road in front of me so I am getting my black 2001 S4 getting almost completely repainted for free. Their insurance paid out about $6,500. Also getting new headlights and foglights. I bought a set of these:

My stock Zenon lights had that "flicker" that was very annoying. These new ones come with Euro spec 55 watt HID lights that are more focused. I got the ones with the black instead of chrome around the middle main light. Also nice are the chromed side bulbs that get rid of the yoke look. Will be hooking them up this week.
Now I am thinking about upgrading my tail lights. Any suggestions there?

Sfeezy-yikes, now you have me worried. My first preference was to put in the Euro spec lights with clear side markers and running lights in the high beam chamber. I got talked into these... might have to reconsider. I'm not keen on the LED's being on with the HID. Hmmmm

Since I bought them I am going to install them. Mine are slightly different than the photo. Same style but the area around the HID is black and the trim on the side marker also black. On my black car these should look good. I don't want the LED's on when the light is on so I may need to do some wiring adjustments. Otherwise what's not to like? LED's are the new Audi style....
