Default Lemmiwinks Adjustment Vote!

Question of the century:

Does Secondary Fuel Tweak adjust Idle or WOT

Noticed this past weekend on a 2002 GTI it adjusted Idle. But on an S4 it adjusts WOT? <-- ****fused.

Didn't do sh^&^t for me either way - my wideband didn't really change much when I adjusted that.

Lemmiwinks: The guide « » 10:03 AM 10-3-2004

I'd like to built a good guide to understand 100% how to fine tune our engines with the help of Lemmiwinks, as nobody has done it before and all the info is spreaded all over the forums.
Please help me complete this guide posting all the information you have about all adaptation channels, if some of the specs or definitions are wrong please post and I'll update the specs on the original post, I'll do it until it has been done right.

Ch01 : Idle Speed Offset
Adjust idle RPM level
- Higher number: increase idle rpm
- Lower number: decrease idle rpm

Ch02 : Fuel Tweak (Accel Pump); Increasing Loads
-This channel adjusts a fuel enrichment under load
-Modulates Throttle Response

Ch03 : Fuel Tweak (Accel Pump); Decreasing Loads
-This channel adjusts a fuel enrichment term coming off the gas or decelerating.

Ch04 : Start Up Fuel Enrich
Amount of fuel on any start ups?
- Higher number: enrich the mix
- Lower number: lean out the mix

Ch05 : Warm Up fuel Enrich
Amount of fuel on start ups E.G. on the first start in the morning?
- Higher number: enrich the mix
- Lower number: lean out the mix

Ch06 : Lambda Regulation
Controls how fast ECU adapts:
- Higher number: faster adaptation
- Lower number: slower adaptation

Ch07 : Additive Offset To Speed Limiter
Controls speed limiter in increments ok 1km/hr

Ch08 : Secondary Fuel Tweak
Controls fueling at idle, ussually alters additive fuel trims
- Higher number enrich the mix
- Lower number lean out the mix

Ch09 : Ignition Timing Offset
Controls timing in steps of 0.75 degrees, all RPM range is altered
- Higher number advances timing
- Lower number retards timing

Ch10 : Primary Fuel Tweak
Controls fueling on run, ussually change multiplicative fuel trims
- Higher number enrich the mix
- Lower number lean out the mix

Ch11 : Unused
Unused

Ch12 : SEL Scaling (Turbo Cars Only)
Adjust boost
- Higher numbers increase boost pressure
- Lower numbers decrease boost pressure

Ch13 : OFF OFF
Unused

Ch14 : Idle Torque Additive Offset
Controls engine load at idle
- Higher numbers: spec load at idle is increased
- Lower numbers: spec load at idle is decreased

How to:
1. Place key in ignition, turn to on position.
2. Attach VagCom 'dongle'.
3. Bring up Lemmiwinks software
4. To store original ECU settings Click ON "Read". This reads your current settings.
5.Adjust settings at will.
6.Click on 'SET' to connect to the ECU and adapt settings.
7. When asked to cycle ECU, simply turn it off, then turn the ECU back on.
8. Enjoy (hopefully) new settings.

Default bank 2 (driver's side) - I thought at some point someone said bank 2.......

runs leaner or something - there was some reason I can't recall for sure I used bank 2.

I'd like to tap it into bank 1 just to see the difference though.

Default cant hurt to put a bung in each bank, just swap the sensor.

i wanna pick up a wideband one of these days.

Default I need to go back and edit my older post about this, but it will affect idle.

I took a lot out of mine (<50%) and it did NOT like to start cold. I put it back to default and the startup problem cleared right up.
I think I'm gonna have to agree with the theory that primary fuel tweak is multiplicative and secondary is additive. Formula: primary fuel*engine load + secondary fuel.
That would explain why you see more of a difference at idle with secondary tweaks, and more of a difference at WOT with primary tweaks.

Older post, which I now disagree with.

Piggie pipes are nice - you have 2 extra bungs already there in the perfect spot!
