I need some techie help. I've read through the posts showing how to modify the drivers for a VAG Com cable for lemmiwinks when you have XP. I can't get the same procedure to work with Vista. Anybody got any ideas??

What sort of VAG COM cable?

Got it a year ago... it says Hex+Can Dual K &CAN <-> USB

I used to run some sort of serial port emulator on my old XP laptop for Lemmi. Unisettings is a Lemmi type application made to run with a USB cable and is much easier to install for Vista. Check Unisetting out. I have been running it now for a year or so on Vista and it runs fine with my Ross Tech Key USB cable.

You didn't have to modify the drivers for your cable like you would have to with lemmiwinks?

No. Very easy. Just install application (Unisetting). Nothing else required.

I'm an IT guy by trade, but am too lazy to get XP on my D630 laptop. I would only do it in a VM, and that is juat too much effort for me.
