Hello All,
What L10 upgrades do most people do for Stage III?
Just curious if most do just the Torque Converter and Valve Body, or if they do the full blown L10 (clutches, bearings, valve body,TC, etc)?
Thanks for any info!
Gavin

...on your engine mods and how you drive.
If you live at sea level, run 93 oct, have a full stg 3 set up with aggressive tuning, and you drive the car hard with lots of launchs you probably need the "bullet proof" option.
If you live at altitude, run 91 oct, have a 3- set up with conservative tuning, and drive the car moderately (this describes me) you may be able to get away with just a GIAC Tip chip, TC and/or VB. Caveat - since I'm using myself as an example, I need to say that I've been 3- w/an L10 TC for approx 9 months/10K miles. I don't know long-term how this will work out.
Ask yourself how much hp/tq you want to put out and how you're going to drive and decide from there. If you go the TC and/or VB route and have tranny issues later, you can always do the "bullet proof" option then.
Good luck
