In light of heavily modded cars being stolen lately, how can you get mods covered by insurance?

which is why I assumed any mods over the $5k was a gamble.
I never mentioned anything about engine mods, nothing was damaged.

I hope not, I never claimed to be an insurance expert, just chiming in on my experience. I've always figured my mods were not going to be covered... at least not the ones that added substantial HP as I've never claimed them.
My prgressive rep was harder to please than I when it came to making my car right. Hard to believe, but true.

your coverage and how they would handle certain claims or coverages.. most states have a dept of insurance that the companies have to file with, if you feel that you were wrongly dropped or anything ins related, you need to write them and they get involved.... in most cases, you do not need an atty to get involved..(love the people who always state to get an atty involved right off the bat )save your money for mods..
