Default Lighting Question:

Are the Xenon housings vented to allow water evaporation?

My parents have an A8 and one of the lights got fogged up by some water that got into the housing. The dealer claims that this is OK because the lights are vented to allow the water to evaporate out. Is this bull**** from the dealer? Sounds like it to me.

Worthless (but not un-attractive) pic to bait you into reading my post:

My parents had an allroad before the A8 and it wasn't a problem.

Default They are vented, I'd let the car idle with the high beams on and the rear housing covers opened up.

If that doesn't help after 20-30 minutes, you might have to pull the housing out and drain it.
