Default A little help, please. I have an Arbitration hearing scheduled with AoA re my rocking driver's seat

I've never done the Arbitration thing and was wondering if anyone has any advice besides the obvious like bring all paperwork and service records.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, and I will definitely report back the resolution of my situation for those interested in trying to get their seat rocking fixed. TIA!

Default FWIW, I had my seat rail replaced, started rocking again in about a month

I think it's an expensive procedure, has to be outsourced to an auto upolstery type place.

Default No, no, no!!! You're supposed to tell me GOOD news. ;-) I may just be screwed, but I have to try.

I really feel my dealer and especially the FOM in my area has been fvcking with me for complaining about this situation (and other problems I have had with my dealer). I won't be able to feel better until I have at least taken my shot via arbitration. If there is no known fix, we'll have to see what AoA offers as resolution. Probably nothin'!

Default Are you getting new rails or new seat frame? I had the new frame and lasted about 2-3 months.

I know that AoA accounts for the new seat frame at $1,800 (I'm sure that's a retail price). I'm guessing that the seat rails are more $. If I had to pick what is wrong with mine, I would say the rails are bad; but I can't be sure either way. Good luck on your fix - I hope it holds!

Default just show that u know the mechanics of it, and take no bull for it... that's alll

they have to replace it under warranty, like many others... my dealer knew about it, and fixed it.
i had my frame changed .. that caused the rocking between the back of the seat and the lower part of the seat , but the bottom rail still rocks a bit..but it's not as bad and here the fix for that:

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1145010.phtml</a

Default it could have been the frame, don't know, recall it being the rails

point is, there's a problem.
