They fixed my seat and it's good so far after a couple thousand miles.

Default Well you would think, the last time they replaced my seat frame an inhouse mechanic did the upholste

ery work and my leather looks like an old cadi, all creased etc. I figure they will replace it all when I bring it in for the 3rd fix

Default Theory: Rail v. Seat Rocking?

Hey, anyone know if overseas S4's have the same issue?

In other words...those with recaros DO or DO NOT experience this?

My posit: If the rails are at fault, everyone would experince this worldwide. If the seats are the issue...the "fix" really hasn't been working for good reason.

My theory is that these US version seats simply can't handle the tq we're subjecting in braking, etc...

Josh@Achtuning or other seat swappers experience?

Takers?

Default P.S. This issue really is B.S.

I have a feeling this same issue has been prevalent every time audi have swapped seats for the US market. My old CQ rocked...but, honestly, less than the S4 is.

Default Give arbitrator evidence of how extensive the problem is - search AW archives for complaints or

poll AWers to see how many have had the rocking problem

Default Re: Slight thread jack--Why does the S4 seatback not go more upright...

Any other car I've sat in, I can make the seatback incline(?) to the point where it is physically uncomfortable for me. That is, I feel I'm sitting too upright or pushed forward.
I cannot get to that point with my S4. In fact, I cannot get the seat upright enough for my taste. Anyone have this issue or noticed this? I sat in a new B6 S4 the other day, and I had no problem getting those Recaros nice and upright.

Back on topic....my seat rocks, too. I was told by my service advisor that it was the plastic gears inside the seat that are poorly designed, not the frame or frame rails.

Aren't our seats old style recaro's? If not, then they are styling rip-offs of older recaros, IMO.
