Yup the tires are "Teh Suck".... in the snow I mean. Once we were about 10 miles out of town I was fine and back to my normal pace. Made it to Santa Monica in 5 hours, not too bad considering the heavy traffic most of the way...
I was up for the weekend working at DSES Mammoth- Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra. I'm a ski instructor for disabled/ adaptive kids a couple of weekends a month. It was both trying and rewarding. The 14 inches of fresh snow overnight was amazing, but the 70 mph winds at the top of the gondola I can do without...
