Any place I could find a 88mm ID MAF Housing that would fit (or almost fit) the stock airbox? 83mm is not sufficient and 85 is just ~5% bigger...
I think I'll end up customizing one from scratch from somebody working at Bombardier Aerospace...

The smaller diameter of the airbox outlet will artificially inflate the MAF readings if its smaller than the MAF inlet diameter.
You'd be surprised how much difference the airbox inlet (or any other step in the airflow) will make to the MAF reading.

You can only move so much air through the stock system, sure you can use a larger maf housing so your MAF sensor isn't getting maxed out, but the stock plumbing can only support so much airflow...yes? no? With these larger turbos won't there be a certain threshold where the internals have to be upgraded to support more air mass? Or am I looking at things incorrectly...

Instead the electrical limit of the MAF sensor itself comes into play. By moving the sensor into a larger housing (and scaling fuel appropriately), you effectively increase the sensor's range by making it read lower.

He has absolutely no mods to increase flow. Not even any port/polishing or anything and his car could easily max out his 83mm MAF.
