Default looking for stage 3 advise

i was just wondering in a few months im going to need a new clutch and i want to put in all the stage 3 parts that the engine needs to be pulled to do. i was told that the only thing that you need to pull the engine for are the turbos and exhaust manifolds. so i guess my ? is can i just put on k04s and the exhaust manifolds for now and wait to do the rest of the stage 3 later when i get the money? and do i need anything speical to put the k04s on like new hoses. like i said im not trying to up my power yet just want to save on the labor by doing it when the engine is out of the car

Put in a good clutch and if you plan on racing do not get a RS4 clutch.

Default my rs4 clutch is great. no problems so far at 15kmi

you dont NEED manifolds, many say that there are no real gains from them that you cant find somewhere else even. you can run your k03 software and an MBC to cap boost at ~15psi or so i think is what people run.
how modified is your car? you should do something about your downpipes when the engine is out. either gut your pre-cats and relocate o2s, or get new downpipes all together.
other than that, you can leave stuff and worry about it when you have the cash. GIAC STG3- code is a great option if you dont want to mess with the MBC stuff, you just need the software and a 5BAR FPR. thats what i did and i would reccomend it for sure.

i would race some but dont plain on doing any launching. i just want to make sure i can just put on the k04s and exhaust manifolds for now because the engine is going to be out of the car.

right now i have turbo back exhaust and a apr chip but since my clutch is going out and they will need to pull the engine i was going to replace the exhaust manifold and put on k04s but i didnt know if i needed to buy anything else to put on the k04s. or if i can just put on k04s and do the rest when i get the cash.

RS4 clutch is great if you don't launch the car or drive hard

Default "or drive hard" is simply not true.

While dropping the clutch at 6K RPMs certainly will require an aftermarket clutch, if you don't plan on doing those types of launches as you indicate, the RS4 clutch will be fine.

I have Stage 3 minus (GIAC), but have tracked the car extensively with no clutch issues. I don't do drop clutch launches, but I do heel-toe and rev match on all downshifts which helps clutch, transmission and gear synchros.

Me too. Stg 3- w/130k on the stock clutch. Never slips with any WOT, but I'm not launching either.

My RS4 clutch never slipped at 3-. Slips at full stage 3 though.
