Looks like the Darintake is going to get its own dyno day.

Been talkin to the ATL boyz, and with their dyno day coming up, eking_s4 and I have decided to put the Darintake to the test. He has a GIAC'ed H box, and I have a stock M box (I think; see below post.) We're going to make one of our intakes the base and the other will be a Darintake. I figure we'll make the first run with the stock intake installed, pull that intake after the dyno pull, install the other intake, and then do another pull. Of course, we've also talked about alternating our cars, i.e., his stock, mine stock, then his darintake, then mine darintake. However, I don't know how hard this would be; i.e., do they have to do a lot to get a car set up to run on a dyno? I'm betting we can completely swap the intake out in about 10 minutes, give or take a few minutes.
Anybody have any suggestions? Has this been done before and I just missed it in the archives? Since we'll have my VAG there, we'll probably try to do some airflow logs as well, which ought to be interesting on a dyno with no air flowing over the car.

Dynapacks take a long time to set up since the wheels need to be removed and the packs attached to the hubs.

I'm a believer in the darintake just from the MAF gains, but seeing confirmation on a dyno plot would be cool.

due to all the safety measures in place and getting the vag ready, etc.
But, I would think it will not be a big deal to merely swap out airboxes.

quickaudi had inquired about how difficult it would be to swap cars instead of setups as a possible option.
