I just read a posting that said the owner felt a loss of power after installing the GAIC tipchip. Anyone else see this?

We ran an A6 2.7T Tip stock and the best we could get was 6.45 seconds using Gtech.
Then switching to the Giac Tip chip, same street, times were 6.15-6.30.
At Carlsbad same car ran with/without the Tip chip, everything esle the same, and the difference was ~.25-.30 1/4 mile.
THe Giac Tip chip is the only chip out there I believe that actually speeds up the shifting, not just changes shift points.
I believe drkangel(rick) was there during the carlsbad runs.

Back then and even now the 4krpm hunting was only in Tip mode, not "D". Happens about 'dead on 4,000' rpm.
Shifts are more responsive, upshift and downshift.
After getting the chip I drove around without it for a bit and hated it. Had to have it back in. You get spoiled by it being quicker : )

I'm thinking, if there is someone with a stock TCU and is interested in resolving this question once and for all...
I'd like to swap out my Tip-chipped TCU and put in a stock TCU and see what effect that has on the X-chip and the performance.
I don't want to make my tuner go through the trouble of taking out the Tip chip from my TCU for this purpose...
