So I got this loud gear like whine coming from the front of my engine. It's audible enough that you can hear it inside and especially outside the car while it's idleing or rolling in the first few gears. The sound does change with rpms. It's not the power steering pump.. I know that. Turbos seem normal with plenty of power. Maybe a tensioner pulley? Timing belt was done approx 10k ago. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, -Sikxer

Pulley. On thursday it locked up on me and shredded my serp belt. get this checked before it get worst and you need to tow it to the dealer.

I just did the timing belt over the weekend what a pain that was. water pump bolt head breaking off is not fun. PS pulley didnt want to come off.

I take it they replaced the a/c compressor?

Update.. Turned out to be the alternator

Depends.. My shop got one overnighted for ~$180
