Default Lousy kill last night...

I wouldn't usually have bothered, but this guy was asking for it. He was driving a Ford Probe (! Do they still make those things? It looked new..). Pulled up to the left me at a light on Northern Blvd. leading into Queens plaza, two cars on my right, and I knew he wanted to get across to the right to make the ramp for the bridge. I would've let him go, but he starts revving, looks over at me smuggly, in his Guido laid back driving position, one hand hanging over the top of the wheel, so the devil on my shoulder whisperred "Do it!". ESP on (why bother turning it off for this one?), the light turned green, and at 40 mph and a half block later he was 3 carlengths back. I pulled one lane right into the left of the two lanes heading for the bridge, at which point he had ducked in behind me, crossed to the right, and passed in the right lane, not even looking my way...

I got snagged at a light, but caught up to him in Manhattan, where he was turning uptown on 2nd Ave. I considered following, just to toy with him, but there was still a bit of traffic up 2nd, so I decided I was just going to hop the FDR and head for the GW like I had planned...

Not a great kill, but a fun one!

Default Ahhh that Northern Blvd.

Remember seeing few races there when I went by

Hmmm. Do they still have the cameras at stop lights?

Default It was quite amusing, actaully...

the author was Patrick Bedard. He basically goes off (tounge in cheek, I hope!) on how 0-60 times are a thing of the past as a performance measure, MPG is the 'next big thing', and continues writing on how to maximize the MPG performance of a Honda Insight, showing those SUV's who's king of the MPG hill!

Nah, that's Queens 'DeathTrap' Blvd! (Though I saw a camera at Astoria and Steinway that's new)
