Love both the e46 M3 and the S4 but....
But whats with everyone comparing a heavily modified k04ed S4 with a stock M3...What about a k04 vs a supercharged M3. I know stock the M3 is 10k more and had a lot more hp and a s4 with k04's probably makes up that difference(money and prob more power) but how can you compare a car with such modifications to running against a stock car?

Well...
A stock M3 is probably more like 60k becuase people are still charging ridiculous amount of money over msrp. Plus, if you add a supercharger toa a stock m3, it's probably gonna be another 10K+ (labor and parts).

Simple, for three reasons......
1) I have never seen a supercharger kit for an E46 M3. The M3's are blowing motors like crazy stock, and even the Euro tuners who have had the car a year before us, are staying away from supercharging/turbocharging the E46 M3.
2) A K04 S4, fully loaded, still costs thousands less than an E46 M3.
3) There is a well modded S4 on this site running 11.97 at 121mph. Know any modded E46 m3's, even E36 m3's, running this fast?

Yeah, but....to be fair that 11.97 is a TAD more than K04's.
how many thousands have been put into that car I wonder? I'm not knocking it, but that's not a fair comparison.

First off im not talking about the money issue cause it seems for a lot of people on this site...
thats not an issue. Am i correct in saying that what my dad paid for his s4 and what ive seen k04 kits cost that a k04 s4 total would be around 50k. My friend just got a new M3 for 51k. Second im sure that they will be coming out with upgrades for the e46 soon being that the car is still pretty new. Blown motors true....What about all the blown turbos on this site daily...Just wondering how you can compare a heavily modded car to a stock car...thats all...love both cars...not putting down the S4 at all...And number 3 is true...silverbullets car is amazing...but i can build a honda that will kill that car for under 20k but still would rather have his car

Stock e46 most likely wont be in the 12's but what about lightly modified...then your talking
ever see a stock s4 in the low to mid 13's and i know the hp differnce btw just saying stock for stock...
