So I get some new Achtuning 18" RS4 wheels and I put them on last night. After putting the wheels on last night I go to bed thinking all is ready to go for the trip to the airport and then onto work. Well come the morning, 5:45am, I take all my wifes stuff out to the car to go to the airpor. Start the S4, put it in reverse...and the car wouldnt budge! Felt like the hand brake was on or something. Check that, and it isnt, make sure I dont have something blocking the wheels...nope that is fine. Try again, and the car is locked in place.
Well after taking them to the airport I came home and spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out why. The lug nuts was the problem. Go figure. No idea why and never had this problem before. But when I compare the stock lug nuts to the new ones, the stock ones are about 2 cm shorter. Weird thing is that the lug nuts they sent are different. They are too long, if that makes any sense. I am going to call Achtuning today and see why this is.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Maybe they sent me the wrong length bolts?

The new ones that Achtuning sent me were shorter than the stock ones.
Per a thread I saw from Hartmann, the correct lug bolt for the RS4 DTM wheel is 14x1.50 - 26mm (1.05") shank.
The shank is the total length of the threads from the end to the start of the cone.

can't remember which are longer:/ People have def. had issues with trying the wrong length bolts before and not being able to move the car.

I have DTM wheels as well and compared the lugs to RS4 wheels, which I had previously. The RS4 lugs are about 2cm longer than my DTM lugs. Do yourself a favor - compare the threaded part of the lug to the stock threaded part. They should be close. The length may be different because of ball seat vs. conical seat lug.

I am running my stock lug nuts with the wheels right now but I need the cleaner looking chromes ones for the complete effect....

54 bucks from summit. Mine should arrive today, I'll snap some pics.
The ones you get from Achtuning are just standard lug bolts that are ugly.
An additional option is the set from I think ECS, they have chrome caps you can put on the lugs.
I don't like that option, but it is cheaper.
