You realize of course that this is the last year for the current E39 M5. The next generation M5 may
very well have a 470+ HP V10 (to at least match the new Mercedes E55 which has 476 HP and 516 lbs of torque). What is the point of taunting other boards about stuff like this?

Also, it is pretty sad to go on other people's boards and talk smack about a next generation car
that more than likely will never come to the U.S. While Mercedes and BMW do ship their "super-touring" cars over here. Have you seen the specs for the newest-in production supercharged Mercedes V8? The power levels are way beyond the specs of the RS6. As for "McLaren F1 like acceleration" that is pure advertising-marketing bull****. The McLaren F1 is still far faster than the new Lamborghini Murcielago, yet by this collosal streak of logic does that make the new Audi RS6 as fast or near-fast as the Lamborghini - not quite!

Nah, this post really got under my skin. I admit it...
Especially considering how angry we all were a year and a half ago about the BMW E46 M3 clowns showing up on the board and boasting about, this and that, etc...
