MAF and Boost log...
Hi all,
I'd like to call on the collective wisdom of the B5-S4 board to take a look at my MAF/FATS (003) and Boost (115) logs. My car is stock engine wise, with a new MAF in March, a new pair of 710N's and re-tapped my boost gauge to the BPV line a month ago. Ambient temperature was ~10 oC.
Block 003 - MAF

MAF reading (~205 g/s) seems normal for the altitude I'm at in Calgary, but the FATS time I got was a dismal 8.13 second. I recorded a 7.02 second earlier this year right after the dealer replaced the MAF and a bunch of vacuum hoses and valves, but that run might have been slightly downhill. Still, I'm thinking something's not quite right based on the poor FATS time.
Block 115 - Boost

I'm not seeing the usual 9 psi boost anymore on the gauge, and the logs sort of confirmed it. And it seems like I'm over-boosting in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear, yet I never got over 0.8 bar. What do you think?
I've been using a borrowed VAG-COM here and there. I just bought my own but I need to buy a laptop to start using it soon ;-)

hey 50valves...
long time no speaky. imo 203 g/s seems a little low for your elevation (I'm in Calgary as well)... I did a poll on g/s a few weeks ago (link below). If I were you, I'd be checking for leaks - I have a pressure tester you can borrow (or make your own). Based on your graph (you should only really log 2.5k-6k - your graph is confusing) I'd say you're not hitting spec'd boost most of the time.

clicky

Are you doing multiple runs in opposite directions and averaging for FATS?
One run by itself is fairly meaningless (IMHO). It's easy to be fooled by the slope of the road.
Your logs look normal. Boost will be slightly lower in the cooler temps.
