Default Maf at elevation?

I am moving back to Winter Park, CO for the season.

I have the awe maf and maf hose.

WP elevation is 9k

I can't run that big of a maf a that altitude.

Suggestions.

Would the stock maf be a good idea?

Default Is this because the car wont idle since the maf readings will be too low?

Doesn't this mean you might have to go with a different tune if you use a stock maf?

Default not sure. I know a lot of guys at elevation are using sleeves for their maf's....

But I don't know what tune or software they run.

Default Try it and see first.

My RS4 MAF is fine going over the passes at 10k+ feet.

Default I had it at elevation this summer and it sucked. But I never logged it because everyone told me ...

not to drive it with AWE fueling at elevation so I babied it up there.

Default slm4buffs has the AWE kit and it runs perfectly here.

You might have other issues.

Default Sleeve it with silicon it you want to try something smaller, I think stock would be too small.

Most of the guys running it around here have a GIAC/Moss tweaked file. Autobahn could probably find something for you.

Default Some kits at this altitude don't run as well because the MAF #s are so low that they never go into

open loop. I know a few ASP cars here have had that issue. Nigel homebrewed a fast S4 here on a stock MAF without maxing it out. Some guys have sleeved their MAFs, then you just pull some primary with Lemiwinks to compensate for the smaller diameter.
