MAF sensor or Air mass meter?
<center><img src="http://www.autospeedperformance.com/audi/maf2.jpg"></center><p>I've recently had CEL with a torque converter code. Tried everything including the ATF replacement, nothing worked. Probably need to replace the damn thing.
However, I just read elsewhere that some guy had a TC stuck off code come up and he traced it to MAF sensor or Air Mass meter sensor. Apparently it was this sensor sending some fault to the ecu and the ecu would lock up the TC. What he did was clean the sensor with some brake cleaner and it was all back to normal. It's a long shot but I think its worth it. So I picked up some CRC MAF sensor cleaner from Advance Auto.
Is this the right sensor (the one dangling in the center)?
Is it safe to use this MAF sensor cleaner stuff or should I go with brake cleaner like the other guy?
Here is the post I read:

comments appreciated, thanks
