Default if you have a KN filter or something get it out at least

that worked for me. Back in the k03 days I think I blew 4-5 maf's before taking my KN out and going back to stock. Amazingly my dealer warrentied every single one that died

Default Which MAF? I just replaced mine (Bosch). I run APR93.

The guys from Fred Baker Audi did it for me at Mid-Ohio. They said that in their experience the chip really has nothing to do with the failures. They explained that it just seems to fail. They said that they see as many chipped as non-chipped S4's with dead MAF. They are a chip friendly shop from what I gathered at the track and it would seem that chip swapping before service would be less likely. They did agree that oiled filters will increase the likelyhood of failure.
