<center><img src="http://www.quickpak.de/image003.gif"></center><p>hy there,
first: really nice forum here.
i just read so mutch threads were people talked about the bad or killed MAF. now i have same problem and think that mei MAF is bad. just
to figure out if im right, i attached one log
of my S4 (with 211045 km on the clock) and alredy the Bosch-MAF from 1998. ok i have new
turbos since 40k but nothing else.
but since then i have a car that feels like s*it
above the rev of 4000/min. my dealer didnt find the problem of my car since 40000 km!!!
now today im happy with that little cable that allows me to check my ECU by my self
am i wrong to say that this MAF is totally s*it?
thank you
best regards

Default You mean actual vs requested boost not MAF

I think 115 does it too.

Default It is block 211 that shows actual and spec'd MAF values.

Though it seems that quite often if the actual MAF values are reading low, the spec'd values will read excessively high.

I'm guessing the car sees that it is at the limits of its adjustments in terms of fuel flow and decides that the only way to get a good mixture is to expect much more air.

Default you mean "actual and calculated". Spec'd = requested, which is a request from the ECU for such...

things as boost, but Mass Air Flow is not requested. Boost is requested, which has an impact on Mass Air Flow, which is then measured with a sensor and calculated by other means.

[from my subject] ...where "actual" means "what the sensor is reading", which may actually be different from the actual, if your sensor is bad, so maybe it's better labeled as:

Sensor and Calculated or
Measured and Calculated

and DAP and I verified 211:1=Sensor, and 211:2=Calculated
There was some difference of opinion on which was which.
