Default Michelin Pilot Alpins = Crapfest 2004.

Tries to be good sporttourer and decent snowcarver, but does neither well. Price too high for so little.

Default don't have any problems with mine... actually love them

It has pretty good snowtraction and it has saved me on numerous occasions. I don't know where you drive but here in the Northeast it does the job just fine compared to any summer tire.

And as for the dry weather, it handles decent. What do you expect? these aren't summer tires. They are not supposed to be used for taking tight turns.

Yes the price was a little high but then again, all snow tires cost about the same (ie Dunlops etc) I'm not sure why you're complaining, could you be more specific?

Default You're alone on that thought. Mine work great in 14" of snow and forest service

roads where I drive all winter (14 miles to get to my house on unplowed roads).

The Pilot Alpin has won so many tests, it's not funny.

It is less of a deep snow tire than the LM-22, but it's better than about every other tire in almost every other condition.

I tried about every one on my S4 and A4, and loved the Alpins.

I disagree...they're great on my S4. Of course I run narrower than stock (205/50)

Default i'm with the rest. i loved mine...even on their 3rd season...sadly

i ran over a monster pothole last year (more tahn 10 cars pulled over on the next avaialble exit chanign wheels) in the dark and killed 2 of them. i replaced with wintersprot M2's from Dunlop...they are good, but i thin kteh alpins were a little better in most respects....

Default I'm on season #5 they are noisier than they used to be...

but still work well in snow.Probably the last season. Not as good on ice as my pirelli 210s on the Avant but age is a factor.

Default I run the same set up as inviS4ble and like em. I'll prob get the Arctic Alpines though

the next time i get winter tires for some increased ice & slush grip.

but i overall think they're great winter tires
