...comparisons, thoughts? I've heard that the Bridgestones are "wider" with more rim protection and that the Michelins are loud. Thoughts? Dry Performance? Wet Performance? Tread life? Noise?

The S03's do tend to run a little wider than other brands/models.
The Pilots are quieter and excellent street tires. They tend to get a little greasy when hot and pushed hard.
I've only had my S03's for a few hundred miles, but so far I've observed:
1. They are noisier than the Pilots.
2. They stick a WHOLE lot better and are MUCH quieter than the Sumitomo's that were just on my SSR rims.
3. They stick really well for a tire that has less than <300 miles. Wet performance appears to be as good if not better than the Pilots.

As for being quiet, my radio is usually on LOUD anyway, so I have never noticed tire noise.

expected! They are however, pretty damn expensive. They were great in the wet and even better when dry. I have not had any experience with the S03s but for the money, I think that is where I am headed in the spring!

For the track I would have to say S03, although I've yet to take them to the track and probably never will since I'm using my stock AVUS rims for track duty.
For the street the Pilots would be better since they are quieter, and they have more than enough stick for the street. Now if you occassionally like to do "spirited" trips in the mountain twisties (enough to get your tires hot), then S03's may be a better choice.
They are both about the same price, so it really depends on your own personal preference of NOISE vs. absolute performance.

I think the S-03 has better performance than pilot, but probably not as comfort.
another reason I went for S-03 is because our wet weather. S-02/S-03 probably the best STREET tires in wet.
you can test drive my car if you want.
