2.5" for the adapter pipe, to exhaust collector (y-pipe). And 3" to mate the three exhaust pieces.

I have the exhaust system in place now, and DP's on order. I want to replace the u-brackets with something nicer when the entire system is in, so this is good info.
I believe the A6 system is 2.25" on each side. I'll measure to be sure.
Thanks for the info!

I just received my Milltek DP's and they come with ~1" wide METRIC band clamps -- just right for the slip joint between the DP and the next section of the exhaust system.
They are not SS though...
I found the ones talked about here at Summit Racing, and also at NAPA and they seem to be designed for butt joints not slip joints. Am I looking at the wrong thing, or are you folks just using them in this application for the greater clamping force??

They do list a part number for both butt joint as well as slip joint clamps, but Summit only carries the butt joint. The Dynomax web site lists a bunch of places that carry their stuff, so you may want to do a few more searches and make some phone calls.
FWIW - I used the butt joints on mine with a liberal application of exhaust leak repair putty and did end up with a nice quiet result.

http://www.dynomax.com/</a

Great! I don't have any leaks at this point, and will keep tabs on this.
Did you use the 2 1/2 size on the main tubes? Mine are 60mm=2.35" or so, and the Dynomax folks were not sure if the 2 1/2 would clamp down far enough to make up the difference.
The DP joint is 63mm which is almost exactly 2 1/2, so the standard size clamp should work great on this!
I'll look for a local Dynomax distributor who carries the narrower slip-joint style clamp just to be sure I have an SS option for down the road reliability in the salty NE area.
Thanks!

I looked around for a receipt, but can't find anything onhand or in my old emails for a reality check.

The NAPA units did not look as nice as the Dynomax ones. I think I'll order a set of each, since I know the 2 1/2 will fit up front, and then see what the smaller ones look like on the rear section joints.
Thanks for looking for the receipt!
