Default My instructors mentioned that there's a huge newbie male/female difference...

Where females tend to be slower and more cautious while they're out there until they learn the lines and gain confidence, using less speed and not braking as much. They mentioned that guys who are new to tracking get out there and put the pedal down hard and smash on the brakes. I thought that was interesting.

Maybe that's why the HPS worked fine for me...I was very cautious until I got my bearings. Then I really got on it.

Default All true...

The stop/go type driver is well known.

But I hadn't concidered the difference between men and women. I can see where the more aggressive male could be faster at first, yet the more analytical female might take longer but could ultimately be faster. :-)

Default That sounds right. What you describe is desirable in my opinion...

the stock pads are too grabby. Initial bite is too strong and the modulation doesn't feel linear after that point. With aftermarket pads (Carbotech Bobcats in my case) the intial bite isn't as strong...requires a bit more pedal effort...but the modulation is very linear.

Default Let us know how it is going in a couple thousand miles.

My DBA slotted rotors were always fine initially, then they start to vibrate a couple thousand miles in. Tried both Mintex and HPS, original DBAs, and 4000s. No luck, vibration always come back. Rebedded, and still the same. Most noticeable under light/medium braking on highway offramps.
