Default Misfire in Cylinder 2 is this on the driver or passanger side? What to check and what to replace? T

I had a check engine light come on and when checked it said there was a misfire in cylinder 2 Should I check the plugs and/coil pack or check/replace somthing else. Don't really know much just getting to learn as problems come up appreicate the help.

Okay I think it's passenger side . .. random multiple misfires?

Default yeah it'll just do it whenever it feels like it. It doesn't do it order or anything (more)

Today during the day it ran fine no misfire but yesterday I think it misfired(kinda would go into limp mode for a quick sec) 2-3times through out the day

coilpack could likely be it if it is just misfiring in one cylinder, i had the same problem

Default Are coilpack different for s4 then for a jetta1.8? Buddy has a extra one never used would it work or

or is a certain one made for a s4?

Swap your Cyl 2 coilpack with another cyl and see if the misfires follow it.

Default And if it still doesn't move, then swap the plugs.

BTW, it could just be a loose plug...so check to make sure the plug is torqued down when you're swapping coilpacks.

not sure, but i know that ECStuning.com sells them for ~50$ iirc, thats where i got mine
