So yesterday I floored it in 3rd gear at low rpms and noticed the car lagging pretty bad. Right away the check engine light started flashing. I thought "Oh ****" as I've seen the flashing CEL before and knew it's bad. Threw it in neutral right away and started coasting to a stop getting ready to turn off the car. Before I came to a full stop the CEL stopped flashing but stayed on. Got home and found the following:
DTCs: 12/8/05 2:39 pm - 5 Faults:
2.7l V6/5VT G01 0003
P/N: 8D0 907 551 A
Coding: 06611, WSC: 00601
16730: Camshaft Position Sensor (A) Bank 2: Range/Performance [Sporadic]
16684: Random / Multiple Cylinder: Misfire Detected
16688: Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected
16690: Cylinder 6: Misfire Detected
16689: Cylinder 5: Misfire Detected
This was with 100 octane gas on the APR 100 octane program (software not upgraded yet). Now I've toasted Camshaft position sensors before, but was wondering if perhaps you guys have seen this be a different problem? Any ideas are welcome, before I take it in to be dissected.
