My friend and I are trouble shooting his misfire in Cylinder 1. Car sounds like a Subaru as a result of the missing in Cylinder one. When we hooked up the vag it says misfire cylinder 1...and misfire cylinder 5. Here is what we have done so far to troubleshoot. Compression test: all cylinders seem to be fine. New plugs: brand new Bosch plugs. Coil packs: Have tried brand new coil pack and rotated coil packs with no success. Next up is to take a look at the ECU and see if that provides any answers. Any input or suggestions would be greatfully appreciated.

you and your friend have the same cars. We tried mine on my friends car and it runs perrrfect. $350 later he should be ok. Hehe, I am just now reading P smalls response...if we had not have known to try that, you were right on the money. In case anyone wants to know where the Ignition Amplifiers reside. They are right on top of your airbox. Thanks!

Because of that, I never would have thought to recommend swapping ignition amplifiers.
The only reason I made my comment is because most don't know what POS stands for and assume "piece of sh*t" so I was clarifying.
In other words, you should be thanking elijah

"Ignition Amplifiers" sounds like something from back to the future. Thanks for your help!
