So I had this issue appear suddenly a couple months ago of random misfires on multiple cylinders. Ordered up plugs, seemed to help a bit. Still misfiring on cylinder 3 about 60 times on coldstart. All other cylinders fine. I swapped coils, still misfiring. Swapped icms, still misfiring on 3. Swapped injector to cylinder 2. Misfire moved. Sweet! I'll just order up an injector.
So I get it, swap it in, and misfire is still there. WTF? I run some fuel cleaner thru and seems to help a bit, but the misfires are still there at startup and continue after car is warm. Only on cylinder 2, and gradually go down as the car warms up.
I have also thrown a code for high idle, and insufficient vacuum (17884)occasionly since this has occured. (edit) The car will idle fine for a while, then bounce around, sometimes resting at just over 1k, and then settle back again. (/edit)I'm guessing a vacuum leak somewhere in the system is causing the high idle, but not sure why afer moving injectors, the misfire moves, but after installing a new one, is still there. Also, my LTFT are about 7% on bank 1 (where the misfire is) and only 1% on bank 2 for part throttle. Idle they are within 1% of each other.
I'd appreciate any help or insight, as I am going to be working on the car today.
Thanks again.
