Default Misfiring

VAG showed a misfire cyl. 5 and bad o2 sensor - replaced Cyl.5 coil pack, cleared codes & ran - now showed cyl. 2 misfire. Swapped coil and plugs from Cyl 2 - Cyl 3 - now shows Cyl 5 misfire?? Could this be down to the 02 sensor being bad or fuel injectors?

Thx

Try to swap ignition modules on the airbox. Check codes if cylinders misfire changed.

The bad O2 sensor could be causing your misfires. Replace that first and then pull codes again.

Default what code(s) are you getting for the O2 sensor....

I'm not certain the O2 sensor is the cause becuse the mifire jumped from one bank to the other but if your getting a code for no signal from the O2 sensor you need to replace it anyways. Check the spark plugs and make sure their gapped properly for your set up and are in decent shape. use measuring blocks 15 and 16 to see what cylinders are misfiring (a misfiring cylinder doesnt always leave a code)

Default Thx for the info - heres the meas. blocks

I swapped out the connectors and also ran meas. blocks 15 & 16 - Although no codes on vag-com, the blocks are showing misfires on Cyl. 1,2,5, & 6

Now that I have more info I'm searching the forums for multiple misfire issues - any other advice anyone could give also greatly appreciated.

Thx

D

Pressure test and replace the bad O2 sensor. If there is one thing wrong with this car, everything is wrong. The systems in these cars are very dependent on each other.

How long since the spark plugs have been changed, you should def check/replace them
