Mismatched Wood grain trim.
I am curious about other's experience with the "birdseye" maple trim on the new S4s.
The trim on the doors and dash doesn't match the radio/stickshift trim. They are clearly 2 different colors. The radio/stick is a beautiful grey/black finely figured piece of wood.
The door and dash trim is yellowish/black and poorly figured. When I told the dealer about this his reply was that wood is different and AUDI wouldn't do anything about it. It's a shame that AUDI doesn't take greater care in macthing the color in these pieces. The car is so well engineered - and a real pleasure to drive. Fortunately, I value the functional charateristics far more than esthetics....I love my S4....
